Bomb squad called out for suspicious package in McAllen

Authorities are investigating a suspicious package that was found in south McAllen's industrial and warehouse district.

It all happened on the 6500 block of South 35th Street shortly after 11 a.m. Wednesday.

A suspicious package prompted employees to call police.

Firefighters, police and the bomb squad arrived at the scene and determined that the package was harmless.
