McAllen homicide victim identified, person of interest in custody

Investigators confirm the body of 55-year-old Thelma Rico was found early Sunday afternoon.

Authorities have identified a woman whose body was found behind a 17th Street bar in McAllen.

Investigators confirm the body of 55-year-old Thelma Rico was found early Sunday afternoon.

McAllen police are treating her death as a homicide.

Authorities ordered an autopsy to learn more about Rico's death.

Investigators confirmed on Monday morning that they have person of interest in custody for questioning.
