Palo Alton National Park in Brownsville holds a Mexican-American War re-enactment once a month.
The re-enactment for April is taking place Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Re-enactors perform weapon demonstrations and give talks over the Mexican-American War.
They wear clothing from that era as well.
The park has dedicated one day out of each month since December 2011 for this event.
The last planned re-enactment will be held May 5.
This living history program is free to the public and everyone in the community is encouraged to attend.
