City of McAllen stressing importance of separating debris

The city of McAllen wants to get the word out to the public about debris disposal after Thursday’s storm.

The cleaning process has been going on since early Friday and the work has still only begun.

Public works is picking up debris left from the storm.

McAllen city officials want to stress the importance of separating bulky waste from brush debris.

Bulky waste includes things like destroyed carpets, couches, etc.

The city is in the process of picking up the brush debris and will begin picking up the bulky waste Monday.
