Mother nature pulls the plug on Hidalgo's 911 system

The emergency response system in the City of Hidalgo is non-operational.

Captain Robert Vela told Action 4 News all 911 calls are being transferred to the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Department.

All residents living in Hidalgo are being urged to call 911 or (956) 843-2737.

On Thursday, the storm caused structural and water damage to both the fire and police departments.
