An Olmito 8-liner known as 777 is the latest game room to be targeted by thieves.

Sheriff Omar Lucio says 3 masked men stormed in late last Friday night with handguns and rifles and stole thousands of dollars from the business.

The suspects crime didn’t end with them just stealing the game room’s cash.

They also targeted patrons inside, according to the sheriff.

There were a total of 14 people playing in the building at the time.

The sheriff says they had jewelry, wallets and purses taken from them at gunpoint.

Some of them were beaten during the robbery as well.

There injuries were not considered serious.

The frightening ordeal was detailed by victims who provided written statements to law enforcement.

One man stated in a report that was obtained by Action 4 News how a guy came to him "with a handgun" and "ordered” him to the floor.

He went on to say how the suspects "took” his wife's purse.

He added how he also heard someone say they would "toss a grenade" inside the game room and "kill" them.

In another witness account, a man stated how he "got on the floor" before they asked for their wallets, gold and jewelry.

He also stated how he felt someone touch his "neck" to see if he had a chain.

The business located on 6180 FM 1732 hasn't been open since the armed robbery last week.

Investigators say often times these types of crimes go unreported by operators to avoid scaring off patrons.

Sheriff Lucio warns how 8-liners, like the one in Olmito, often offer little to no security.

He offered this piece of advice to the public-- "Stay away!"

It’s a gamble with your money and safety, according to Lucio.

Anyone with information on the robbery can contact the sheriff's department at 956-350-5551.
