Astronaut and McAllen native Mike Fossum unveiled the newest Boy Scout merit badge in Harlingen Saturday.

The STEM merit badge recognizes achievement in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

Fossum took questions from local Boy Scouts and their parents about his time spent in space, as a Boy Scout and in the Valley.
