A mother accused of leaving her daughter in the car while she went to a Harlingen nightclub is out on a $10,000 dollar bond.

Frances Marie Saucedo appeared before a Harlingen municipal court judge on Wednesday evening.

Saucedo is accused of leaving her 5-year-old daughter inside the car while she went to the Medusa Lounge nightclub.

Witnesses called police about the incident early Wednesday morning.

Officers said they had to calm down Saucedo's distraught daughter.

Harlingen Police Lt. Miriam Anderson told Action 4 News that Saucedo is out of jail after posting a $10,000 dollar bond on Wednesday evening.

Lt. Anderson said Child Protective Services was notified about the incident and that the girl is in the care of family members.
