A Los Fresnos man has gone missing after he told his wife that he was headed south of the border to Mexico.

Cameron County Pct. 6 deputy constables are investigating the disappearance of 33-year-old Chris Daniel Garcia.

Family members told investigators that they last saw Garcia shortly after midnight on Wednesday, March 7th.

Garcia's wife told deputy constables that he showed up drunk around 1 a.m.

Gone Without A Trace

The Los Fresnos man wanted his identification, birth certificate and social security card because he was going to Mexico.

It's not clear why he needed to go to Mexico but Garcia left in his truck without taking anything else.

Garcia called his wife an hour later but no contact was made.

Investigators said the family has not been able to contact Garcia and that his bank account has not been touched.

Investigation

Deputy constables said they are working with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers to check if his truck crossed any international bridges.

Garcia is described as 5 feet 3 three inches tall and weighing 160 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a yellow and beige Columbia fishing shirt, shorts and sneakers.

Garcia drives a 2001 Ford F-150 Super Crew pickup truck with 26-inch wheels and Texas license plates AY3-1449.

Records show that Garcia had addresses in Los Fresnos and Laguna Vista.

Anyone with information about Garcia's whereabouts is asked to call Cameron County Pct. 6 deputy constables at (956) 233-6156.
