An Alamo flea market security guard faces charges after he lead police on a high speed chase across the valley.

Angel Hernandez was asked by a DPS trooper to pull over for going 35 miles over the speed limit in Edcouch.

Instead of stopping, the 23-year-old led DPS troopers and local police from Edcouch, onto Expressway 83 and then to Harlingen.

As he was driving, he was throwing baggies out the window.

The chase ended around 8:15 p.m. in front of the Bass Pro Shop in Harlingen.

A DWI test showed he was over the legal limit and was taken into custody.

Hernandez faces multiple charges including evading arrest and his bond is set at $35, 000.
