Three kidnapping suspects are behind bars after leading authorities on a chase from Harlingen to Rio Hondo.

It all started at the McDonalds near Valle Vista Mall around 11:00 a.m. Friday.

Investigators told Action 4 News that the suspects forced the man into his gold Cadillac Escalade.

Numerous called 911 to report the time prompting police to search the area.

One police officer tried to pull over the vehicle but the suspects lead authorities on a chase.

The armed suspects crashed the SUV in a canal naer a set of railroad tracks next to the Port Of Harlingen where they bailed out.

Police and K-9 officers were at the scene searching for the suspects.

Investigators rescued the male victim from the SUV and rushed him to a local hospital.

A motive for the kidnapping was not clear but police said the man was beaten and bound with zip ties.

A Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) helicopter was deployed to the area to help police search for the suspects.

Investigators confirmed that all three suspects were caught shortly after 12:40 p.m. Friday.

Action 4 News will provide more information as it becomes available.
