Authorites are investigating the cause of a fatal rollover accident in a rural area of northern Hidalgo County.
It all happened off FM 490 and Davila Street outside of Hargill around 7:30 a.m. Thursday.
Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) state trooper Johnny Hernandez said a man lost control of his Dodge pickup truck and rolled over.
Hernandez said the pickup somehow lost control and flipped over on the corner of Fm 490 and Davila Street one mile outside Hargill.
The male driver from Hargill was pronounced dead at the scene.
DPS said they are investigating the cause of the accident.
Authorities are not revealing his identity until family members are notified.
Family members told Action 4 News on Thursday afternoon that Juan Pablo Ramos died in the accident.
Ramos' daughter Maria Valdez said Ramos had three sons and eight daughters.
"We were his pride and joy," Valdez said via telephone. "His daughters were everything to him."
Family members have gathered at her mother's home in Hargill where they are playing Ramos' funeral.
