An accident happened Friday afternoon in Mission just pass Los Ebanos in Mission on Business 83.

60-year-old, Ricardo Olivarez, was driving eastbound when he veared right and headed to a ditch.

A that time, his green Ford F-150 went air-born and skidded into a palm tree on the driver’s side.

Olivarez sustained massive head trauma and rescuers had to use the Jaws of Life to get him out.

He was sent to the hospital but died late Friday evening.

This is the third road fatality in two weeks.
