A Brownsville man is behind bars after he allegedly stabbed three members of his family.

Brownsville police arrested 28-year-old Eduardo Alvarez Dimas late Thursday night.

Investigators told Action 4 News it all started with a domestic disturbance at a home off the 2500 block of East Harrison Street.

Officers arrived at the home around 11 p.m. Tuesday where they found three people stabbed.

All of them were taken to the Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Police found Dimas a few miles north on the 7900 block of North Expressway 77/83.

A motive wasn’t clear but police charged Dimas with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Dimas appeared before a Brownsville municipal judge on Friday morning where he was issued $300,000 dollars in bonds.
