A pickup truck ended up inside a roadside ditch this afternoon in Harlingen.

It all happened in a ditch next to a Harlingen fire station and emergency communication center around 12 p.m. Thursday.

According to police, the driver of a white Ford F-150 traveling north on Loop 499 lost control of the vehicle.

Police said the driver swerved in order to avoid being hit by another car who allegedly pulled out from a turnaround.

The 23-year-old male driver had some visible physical injuries but he declined treatment.

The man’s condition was not immediately released.
