One of two home invasion suspects is behind bars after struggling with a Weslaco woman who he allegedly robbed.

It all happened on the 1700 block of West Mile 10 North Road just north of Weslaco around 5:21 a.m. Tuesday.

That's where Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested Alejandro Del Siderio Arias on aggravated robbery charges.

Investigators told Action 4 News that Arias is one of two home invasion suspects that placed a knife to a sleeping woman's throat.

The woman fought with the attackers and fled for her life after her hands were cut by the knife during the struggle.

The suspects took off with the woman's handgun but deputies located Arias nearby.

A motive has not been identified but Arias is expected to be arraigned on Tuesday afternoon.

Action 4 News will provide more information as it becomes available.
