MONTERREY, MEXICO (AP) -- Mexican authorities say nine people have been shot to death in the center of the country's third-largest city, which has been plagued by rampant drug violence in recent years.
Nuevo Leon state Attorney General Adrian de la Garza says there is evidence that the killings in Monterrey are related.
But he hasn't elaborated.
De la Garza says the bodies of eight men between ages 25 and 30 were found on a street corner early Thursday after neighbors reported hearing gunfire.
The body of a woman was found nearby.
