Federal agents have filed criminal charges against a Pharr man amid an ongoing child pornography investigation.
U.S. Department of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents filed charges against 26-year-old Roberto Garcia on Tuesday.
Court records released on Thursday show that Garcia is accused of using a peer-to-peer network to download child porn videos.
A criminal complaint shows that it happened back in September but federal agents were able to track Garcia down through his IP address.
Authorities executed a search warrant at Garcia's Pharr home on Tuesday where allegedly admitted to download and having the videos.
Court record show that Garcia is an American citizen who lives in Pharr.
