Brownsville woman accidentally runs over 1-year-old grandson

Authorities are investigating an auto accident where an elderly woman accidentally ran over her 1-year-old grandson in the driveway.

It all happened on Mesa Avenue in the Cameron Park area of Brownsville around 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Brownsville police told Action 4 News that investigators ruling the incident as an accident at this point in time.

The child was taken to the Driscoll Children's Hospital in Corpus Christi for treatment.

The child's condition it not known at this time.

Action 4 News will provide more information as it becomes available.
