After more than nine hours Cameron County jurors were excused for the day from deliberating the fate of Harlingen karate instructor Carlos Anderson Jurors must decide if he sexually assaulted three young girls he trained.

Before rendering a verdict Wednesday morning, jurors asked 107th District Judge Benjamin Euresti for clarification on one piece of evidence against Anderson.

The seven man, five woman jury requested transcripts from one of the alleged victims testimony describing how she was allegedly molested in Anderson's karate studio.

Court Reporter reading transcripts:

Question: "As he was doing this what was his demeanor? Was he nervous, anxious, calm, quiet?

Answer: "I don't remember."

The alleged sexual assault took place between 2006 to 2009.

One victim stated the acts started when she was only 10 years old.

Court Reporter reading transcripts:

Question: "How old were you when he first started doing this?"

Answer: "I was around 10."

Question: "When you first told people this was happening, how long did it take for you to tell them?

Was it like a week or several months?"

Answer: "Probably like a month."

But, defense attorney Michael Garza claims the victims conspired to bring charges against Anderson.

Jurors heard about six days of graphic testimony.

Both sides rested.

Deliberations are expected to pick back up Thursday at nine in the morning.

For now, Anderson faces four counts of indecency with a child and two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child.

If convicted, Anderson could face up to 20 years in prison on each charge.

The Texas Rangers and the District Attorney Office investigated the allegations against Anderson to avoid any conflict of interest or perception of favoritism as a result of his marriage to Harlingen Police Lt. Miryam Anderson, the Harlingen Police Department has said.
