Authorities have made a second arrest amid allegations that a 15-year-old girl was drugged, beaten and forced into prostitution.

Harlingen police arrested Carlos Freddy Perez on a sexual assault charge Monday.

Perez is the second suspect in an investigation into the allegations made by the teenage girl.

The girl claims suspect Randolph McKinley Chamblee picked her up at Gutierrez Park in downtown Harlingen but drugged her, beat her and prostituted her to Perez.

Chamblee remains in custody at the Cameron County Jail under $639,000 dollars in bonds.

Perez is expected to be arraigned at the Harlingen Municipal Court on Tuesday morning.

Action 4 News will provide more information as it becomes available.
