Authorities reported a chase was in progress in on a major street on Mission's northside.

It all happened off Mile 3 North and Shary Road around 3 p.m. Monday.

Border Patrol agents said a K-9 unit from their McAllen station saw a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed going North on Conway Avenue.

The K-9 officercalled for assistance from Mission police and a Texas Department of Public Safety helicopter.

Authorities tried to pull over the vehicle but the driver refused to stop.

The driver and passengers all bailed out.

Border Patrol officials said agents detained two illegal immgirants at the scene.

Four to five others got away.

Action 4 News will provide more information as it becomes available.
