An oil leak coming from a Department of Homeland Security bus sparks a fire underneath the vehicle.

According to a Harlingen fire department spokesperson, the call came in around 11am.

The driver of the bus was transporting detainees and was heading north on Expressway 77, between Ed Carey Drive and New Hampshire in Harlingen, when the leak occurred.

The driver pulled over and noticed a fire had ignited under the bus.

Officers onboard evacuated all of the detainees, no one was injured.

Harlingen police did shut down the entrance ramp to Ed Carey because a trail of oil was spilled on the roadway, causing slick conditions.

At this time, crews are pouring sand over the oil in order to avoid any accidents.
