Firefighters kept a blaze at a Mercedes home Saturday night to just one home.

Initial reports indicated the fire spread to multiple homes.

The blaze burned the home to the ground.

Family said the fire's cause was electrical.

The Mercedes and La Feria fire departments responded to the fire after 9:00 p.m. near Mile Two East and Mile Nine North.

Before 11:00 p.m. Saturday the fire was said to be under control.

A dog was reportedly killed in the fire.
