An elderly woman has passed away following a Weslaco fire that also claimed her husband's life.
The fire happened at a home at 1724 Christian Court on Weslaco's south side Monday evening.
An elderly man was burned in the fire and airlifted to a trauma center where he passed away.
Investigators said the man's wife was listed critical condition but passed away around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday.
A cause of the fire is not known and authorities have not released the names of the couple.
Property records show that the Rogelio Ramirez purchased the $100,000 dollar home back in 2001.
