Like many other non-profit organizations, the Boys & Girls Club of McAllen has been struggling with budget cuts.
They need community support but that doesn't mean cash donations.
The group told Action 4 News it needs to volunteers to do things like read to schoolchildren.
The Boys & Girls Club is also accepting donations to help needy families get through the holidays.
They are also accepting auction item donations for their upcoming gala in January.
