Gun battle reported south of Los Indios International Bridge

Residents of several communities south of the Los Indios International Bridge are on alert following reports of a possible gun battle.

It all happened between the rural communities of Lucio Blanco and Enpalme around 11:45 a.m. Friday.

The two rural towns are located south of the Los Indios bridge and north of Valle Hermoso.

Details were not available but area residents reported a "situation of risk" and seeing an 18-wheeler blocking traffic.

Mexican military officials did not have any information as of Friday afternoon.

The incident did not affect operations at the Los Indios International Bridge.

Action 4 News will provide more information as it becomes available.
