Brush fire reported near old airport in San Benito

Firefighters from several communities are working to contain a brush fire that is spreading quickly near the old Cameron County Airport in San Benito.

It all happened off North McCullough Road east of Business 77 around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Firefighters tell Action 4 News that the fire is spreading quickly  and that they are working to prevent property damage.

Action 4 News will provide more information as it becomes available.
