Officers with the Palmview Police Department have their fingers crossed.
This small town of under 7,000 has been nominated for four awards at the Texas Crime Stoppers Conference.
The police department has been nominated for:
• Coordinator Of The Year
• Productivity Of The Year
• Best Public Service Announcement
• Board Member Of The Year
The Palmview Police Department has taken home the “Coordinator Of The Year” prize for two years now.
In order to win, the department must have recovered the most narcotics, burglaries solved and money seizures within the crime rate for a town of that size.
Palmview police told Action 4 News that the fact that they have received statewide recognition only motivates them to further their Crime Stoppers program.
