Three members of an Hidalgo County family faced trial for the aggravated sexual assault of a mentally-challenged relative. Half-brother Michael Anzaldua, Jr. and relative Aaron Anzaldua each plead guilty to three charges of rape. The victim's mom, Elvira Anzaldua, plead guilty to failing to protect her daughter from rape. Monday, the three were in the 332nd State District Court in Edinburg. Michael Anzaldua, Jr. and Aaron Anzaldua received 10 years probation. They are now required to register as sex offenders. Elvira Anzaldua received 10 years probation. Prior to Monday, the mentally-challenged woman's stepfather plead guilty to raping her as well. He is now serving a 14 year sentence. A jury sentenced another half-brother, Mark Anzaldua, to five years in prison for raping his half-sister. DNA tests proved he even fathered her baby. That baby is now two-years-old. An aunt takes care of him and his mentally-challenged mom.
