Four students arrested for Besteiro Middle School burglary

Four students are facing criminal charges after they allegedly broke into and stole $27,000 dollars in equipment from a Brownsville’s middle school.

It all happened at Besteiro Middle School off Southmost Road early Tuesday morning.

Investigators told Action 4 News discovered the burglary when they came to work on Tuesday morning.

An investigation by Brownsville Independent School District police lead to four Besteiro Middle School Students.

School district officials confirmed that all of the $27,000 dollars worth of stolen equipment has been recovered.

The student’s names are not being released due to state laws protecting the identities of juvenile offenders.

Brownsville ISD officials said the students are facing burglary, organized criminal activity, and criminal mischief for allegedly breaking a window in a classroom.
