An 18-year-old remains in ICU after Palmhurst police said he was struck by the driver of a Ford F-250 early Wednesday morning.

Orange markers are all that remain on Trosper Road. Investigators said the young victim and his cousin were walking South on Trosper when the driver of the F-250 attempted to pass another vehicle.

They said that decision caused the driver to hit the teen shortly after 12 a.m. Wednesday morning.

"He's a real young kid," Palmhurst Police Chief Michael Vela said. "He did go into surgery last night and right now he's in ICU and is unresponsive."

Police told Action 4 News they are looking for a white, late model, Ford F-250, with a black brush guard on the front.

With information regarding this case call Palmhurst Police at (956) 519-3800.
