Illegal immigrants found inside 18-wheeler in Santa Rosa

Members of the Action 4 News team worked together to bring you this report.

The journey has ended for eight illegal immigrants inside an 18-wheeler just west of Santa Rosa.

It all happened off FM 1425 and Highway 107 just west of city limits around 3 p.m. Tuesday.

A Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) state trooper pulled over the 18-wheeler.

DPS spokesperson Johnny Hernandez said the state trooper found eight undocumented immigrants hiding inside the truck.

Border Patrol agents detained the immigrants for processing.

The case remains under investigation.
