Hidalgo County sheriff's deputies are investigating an aggravated robbery.
According to authorities, a badly beaten truck driver walked to a home North of Highway 107 on Sharp Road outside Edinburg.
He reportedly asked people inside to call police because his 18 wheeler was stolen.
The victim told Hidalgo County sheriff's deputies a group of men armed with long rifles beat him and then stole his18 wheeler.
The man is said to have several large bumps on his head and is giving deputies differing information as to where the aggravated robbery took place.
The sheriff's department said the victim was taken to Edinburg Regional Hospital.
They are working to contact the owner of the 18 wheeler.
