Some special needs students at Hanna High School got a big pat on the back during Homecoming Week.

Members of the school’s football team awarded the entire graduating class of special needs students with mums this morning.

Getting the flower is a tradition for Texas teens.

There's no shortage of Golden eagle spirit on campus.

Organizers said some 60 decorated flowers were  handed out today.

The flowers were donated by the non-profit group Down by the Border, which provides support and education to parents of special needs children.
