Some 11 illegal immigrants have been rescued from a stash house south of the border in Reynosa.

Mexico's Ministry of National Defense (SEDENA) reported that the rescue took place in the Colonia Riveras del Rancho Grande on Thursday.

SEDENA officials said authorities received a tip about illegal activity at home off Calle Rivera del Prado.

Soldiers arrived at the home and found two suspects and two vehicles.

Authorities reported that four women and seven men from several different nations were being held inside the home.

Names of the suspects were not released but the case remains under investigation.
