A San Juan man has turned himself in for a fatal September 18th hit-and-run accident where two men were killed off FM 495 north of Donna.

Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) state troopers charged 40-year-old Rodney Edward Salinas for the deaths of the two men.

Investigators said Salinas is accused in a three-vehicle accident off FM 495 just west of Val Verde Road.

Salinas allegedly fled the scene in his 2009 Ford F-250.

Authorities were able to recover the truck and make contact with Salinas.

Salinas surrendered to state troopers on Saturday where he was charged with two counts of accident involving injury and death.

The San Juan man was taken to the Hidalgo County jail.
