Mission police officer arrested for DWI

The Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed a Mission police officer was arrested for driving while intoxicated early Sunday morning.

According to DPS Trooper Johnny Hernandez, the officer was pulled over South of Stites Road  on FM 493 in Mission.

He reportedly refused to submit to a breathalyzer test.

It's unclear how this will affect his position within the Mission Police Department.
