A Harlingen man is behind bars after he allegedly shot at another man's car during an early Saturday morning incident.
Harlingen police arrested 35-year-old Jose Eliazar Pecina on an aggravated assault charge.
Investigators told Action 4 News that Pecina is accused of shooting at another man's car.
The alleged victim flagged down a police officer at a gas station off West Tyler Avenue around 12:38 a.m. Saturday.
Police and the victim went back to the 1000 block of West Buchanan Avenue where the shooting allegedly took place.
A motive in the shooting was not clear but officers tracked Pecina down to his home where he was arrested.
Pecina appeared before a Harlingen municipal judge on Saturday morning where he was issued a $40,000 dollar bond.
Jail records show that Pecina had $1,411 dollars worth of outstanding tickets filed against him.
Court records show that Pecina has a criminal history going back to 1997 that includes marijuana possession.
