A Mission man pled guilty to continuous sexual abuse of a child and waived his right to a jury trial Wednesday morning.
Luis Andres Cardona was accused in may for having sex with a little girl for over 2 years and videotaping it.
He told the judge he wanted to plea guilty and in exchanged have the other 2 charges of indecency with a child by contact dropped.
Cardona was arrested back in May by Mission police.
That's when video of Cardona having sex with a little girl surfaced found in a video camera purchased by a woman in a pawn shop.
"The video depicts eight different scenes that happened over a period of time," said Sgt. Jody Tittle.
During this May interview, police told us each scene on the tape was just as graphic as the next.
Cardona's defense attorney said he's very remorseful and asked to waive his right to a jury.
"He decided not to go to trial on this. Did not want to have the victim brought into court and was very remorseful this morning while he was being sentenced,” said defense attorney Veronica Moncivias.
Cardona was seen wiping away tears as he was sentenced to 50 years in prison with no possibility of parole.
Investigators said Cardona was a friend of the victim's family.
The abuse started when the girl was 5 years old.
Cardona is also facing federal charges for child pornography where he could face up to 30 more years.
He's expected to appear for jury selection in the federal case in October.
