Still no sign of Yanni Valadez’s stolen stander.

Valadez, 8, of Weslaco suffers from Congenital Hydrocephalus, is blind and immobile.

Her customized stander was taken from her grandmother’s front porch earlier this week.

Ruby Valadez, Yanni’s mother, said not having the stander has slowed Yanni’s physical therapy.

However, the family remains hopeful and has faith Yanni’s stander will be returned soon.

Border Mobility of McAllen has stepped in to help the family replace the stander, but the process could take anywhere from two to nine months.

More information on how the family is finding strength to face adversity, on Action 4 News at 5:30 p.m. and 10 p.m..
