Rio Grande Valley residents have a chance to help support local troops serving overseas.

The Fall Troop Gear-Up campaign is underway now through September 30th.

Organizers are collecting a long list of items to send a little piece of home to members of the armed services from the Valley, who are serving their country.

Supplies will be shipped out in time for Christmas.

The Harlingen Chamber of Commerce is one of the various drop off sites across the Rio Grande Valley.

Complete list of drop-off locations is available at www.americanmilitarysupport.com.
