Wet weather is wreaking havoc and causing multiple accidents on roadways in Hidalgo County.

Isolated showers are moving across the Rio Grande Valley Friday afternoon.

An elderly couple is receiving medical attention after being involved in accident off Expressway 83 in McAllen.

It happened near the Ware Road exit on the wesbound lanes of Expressway 83 after 3 p.m. Friday.

The elderly couple's medical condition was not immediately known.

Details were not available but the accident tied up traffic on the expressway.

Another accident happened outside of Foy's Supermarket off Conway Avenue and Expressway 83 in Mission.
