A routine traffic stop in San Benito turns into a drug bust.

On Thursday, an officer pulled over a driver in an Oldsmobile on Northbound on Expressway 83 for a traffic violation.

The driver jumped out of the car and ran into a nearby neighborhood on South Reagan Street.

San Benito Police searched his vehicle and found 15 bundles of cocaine inside.

A special investigative unit was called in.

They seized the vehicles and the drugs.

The suspect was never captured.

He’s described as a bald Hispanic male wearing a black shirt, blue jeans.

If you have any information, is asked to call the San Benito Police Department at (956) 361-3880.
