Since May 12th Robert Canales just can't seem to catch a break.

"I can't get any help. I have to go see the doctor and I ask people to use their car or walk or take a bike."

He has a car of his own, but only three fourth’s of it is left.

“My neighbor said come outside this big red truck rammed into car. "

The driver who hit Mr. Canales' car did not want to appear on camera, but told Action 4 News she left work and drove down Buchanan Street and the steering wheel on her Ford F-150 became loose and started moving on its own.

Next thing she knew, she smashed into a parked car and is blaming Ford.

Since the woman claims her steering wheel malfunctioned and there was no ticket issued from police that day, her insurance has not covered the damages to Canales' vehicle.

We contacted the State Farm agent in McAllen who referred us to their corporate representatives and they told us over the phone they cannot comment on the matter at this time because of privacy issues.

Canales’ car received the most damage and he has hit a brick wall when it comes to getting assistance.

"Nobody is helping me out. If Ford can help me out or State Farm in McAllen and see what they can do."

Action 4 News called the Houston office of the attorney representing the driver who hit Canales and we were told that person would not be in until next week.

State Farm tells us they will look over the claim and prepare a statement for Action 4 News.
