Stolen debit card spree lands Brownsville woman in jail

A Brownsville woman is behind bars after going on a shopping spree with a stolen debit card and checks.

Brownsville police arrested 32-year-old Mari Lou Arredondo on multiple criminal charges on Monday.

Investigators told Action 4 News that she ran up hundreds of dollars in charges on a stolen debit card.

Surveillance cameras caught Arredondo on tape using the debit card and stolen checks.

Investigators other transactions were at a local Dairy Queen fast food restaurant.

Arredondo faced a Brownsville municipal judge on Tuesday where she was issued a $100,000 dollar bond.
