Harlingen's own Danielle Doty was recently crowned Miss Teen USA.

She’s back home for a short time before heading to New York City to assume her duties.

Doty spoke with Action 4 News about being raised in the Valley, winning Miss Teen USA and her future plans.

Rio Grande Valley residents will get to say hello her at a special meet and greet on Monday evening.

The beauty queen will be at the penthouse at the Reese Building in Harlingen from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday.

That's at 202 South First Street in downtown Harlingen.
