Authorities are reporting a rural area of Cameron County scorched in a massive fire has not been contained.

Action 4 News got a behind-the-scenes look at the damage.

Video from the tour was posted to the Action 4 News YouTube channel.

The Cameron County Emergency Management Office and Texas Commission on Environmental Quality are investigating the fire.

A cause has yet to be determined while the elderly landowner may face charges or a fine.
