Authorities are investigating a fatal auto accident that claimed the life of a 53-year-old man in the southside of San Juan.

It all happened near the intersection of Dicker and Cesar Chavez Roads around 8:30 a.m. Thursday.

San Juan police told Action 4 News that a 53-year-old man was killed in the accident.

Authorities are not releasing the name of the person at this time.

Police said the 53-year-old failed to yield the right-of-way at a stop sign at the intersection and caused an accident.

A woman in the other car was rushed to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Action 4 News will post more information as it becomes available.
