Mission police are investigating the death of an elderly man whose body found inside his home on Tuesday evening.
It all happened on the 200 Block of 200 East Mile 2 Road around 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Misison Police Sgt. Jody Tittle told Action 4 News that the man was 86 years old.
Authorities haven’t determined the cause of death but Hidalgo County Justice of the Peace Luis Garza ordered an autopsy.
The man’s identity hasn’t been released but family members were notified.
Investigators said family members are on their way to the Rio Grande Valley at this time.
